It hoped to strengthen relationships between the public broadcaster and the community.
One of the key elements of the pop up bureau was to show what life in Stanley Mission was like for those who live there.

Not all of the Churchill River freezes during the winter. This makes commuting by snow machine dangerous in some areas. 
A number of dogs are free in the area. Community members sometimes feed and look after the animals and children frequently play with them.
Children in the cold winter months commute to the playground on snow machines together. 
They keep themselves entertained by playing with what's around them. 
Regardless of the 40 below plus windchill weather, about 300 people showed up to try their luck at the annual fish derby in Stanley Mission. 
The weather was cold but the community members were incredibly warm, welcoming and incredible to work with.
